| The Burning Crusade Is coming near to a finish as Blizzard Employees are wrapping up the final touches of their expansion pack for World of Warcraft (the Burning Crusade). People are beta testing the BC as we speak, the beta test started around the middle of October and is expected to last until late December, the game has a schedule release date of January 16, 2007 |

If you'd like to secure a spot in the beta test for the upcoming expansion to World of Warcraft, Blizzard is holding several Public Test Realm Contests in which you can win a beta key. Two of them are leveling contests: a race to level 50, and a race to create the most level 25 characters. The third is an honor point contest in Warsong Gulch with characters no higher than level 19. Quite a bit of effort just for a beta key, but I know some people race to level 60 just for the fun of it. Apparently it can be done in less than 120 hours of total play time. Start thinking up good excuses to skip work, because the contests start on March 7 and end on March 27.
